On the 17th of February 2017, a Spanish lady called Maria from Madrid came to talk to 5th and 6th class about Spain. The letters in Spanish are pronounced quite differently than they are in English and the language has more letters than the English alphabet called “ñ”. We learned how to count ti twenty in Spanish and some common phrases: Hola, beunos días , Yo vivo en Skerries, Me llamo…, De nada and Hasta pronto. Lynxes and wolves are native animals in Spain and the climate is very different in different parts in Spain. It was very interesting and we’re all hoping we’ll see Maria again soon!
Adiós amigo! 🙂
