Santa Christmas Visit with Storm in a Tea Cup
December 2019
The last day of the Christmas term 2019, we had a surprise visit from Santa who gave out books to the children and to top it all off, Storm in a Tea Cup arrived to give the children Skerries finest Ice Cream.
There were smiles all round.

We held a Christmas raffle for improvements to the school yard and facilities.
The prizes, not only contained naughty treats but had lovely book tokens hidden inside from Paddy's book shop.

Cyber Security Safety Talk with John Wills
November 2019
John Wills came to the school to provide two talks. The first to the parents of Holmpatrick National School at the Parents Association AGM and the second, to the students.
The talks provided teachers, parents and students with the tools to ensure a safe experience online and to also spot the signs of cyber bullying and how to deal with it.
This is second time John has been to our school and will not be the last.
Halloween disco and sponsored walk
October 2019
October means one thing in Holmpatrick, Disco and the annual fancy dfress spooky sponsored walk.
Every year, we hold a halloween disco for the students with music, dancing, costumes, treats and fun.
Halloween is the time the students dress up and go on a spooky sponsored walk around the haunted streets of Skerries.
Parents Association Coffee Morning
September 2019
At the start of each new academic year, the parents association host a welcome coffee morning so the new and existing parents can meet over a coffee and scone.
Summer Fete
June 2019
Every year Holmpatrick National School and Church hold a summer fete in Floraville gardens.
We have cakes, buns, a BBQ, live music, brick-a-brac, crafts, plants, kids games, toys, books, food and much much more.
It's a great family day out.
Art Exhibition
May 2019
All Holmpatrick students created a piece of art on canvass, which was then exhibited at an evening event for the parents and children.
There was also a raffle and prizes donated by local artists and an art pack donated by Greg Reddin, along with wine and nibbles.
It was a great social evening and well attended by all.

Talk - Marine Biodiversity in the Skerries area
September 2018
John and Jonny from the educational team at the Irish Seal sanctuary came to the school to teach the students about marine life in the local area.
The children were enthralled with the many artifacts they were able to touch during the talk.
West Midlands Childrens Theatre in the Skerries Community Centre
May 2018
The touring theatre group - West Midlands Childrens Theatre came to Skerries Community Centre in May and the Parents Association sent the whole school to enjoy a special performance of Arabian Nights just for them.
An evening of Illusion, Magic and Comedy

World famous illusionist Keith Barry visits Skerries! Please join us for what will surely be a sell out event at Skerries community centre. This is a fabulous community event for our town. Come and enjoy the wonderful Keith Barry and watch your friends and neighbours being hypnotised on stage!
We also have Colm Dawson providing a great warm up for Keith Barry and also Joanne McNally, well known comedienne from the Republic of Telly to make you laugh before the main event.
Are you brave enough to go up on stage and submit to the magic of Keith Barry?? Reminiscent of the fun of Red Island back in the day, this evening is going to provide pure fun and entertainment for the people of Skerries ! Get your tickets fast, as they are already flying out!

Meeting to establish the 2015 Parent Association action committee, to discuss, activities for the children, fundraising efforts and social activities.
