Cyber Security Safety Talk with John Wills
John Wills came to the school to provide two talks. The first to the parents of Holmpatrick National School at the Parents Association AGM and the second, to the students.
The talks provided teachers, parents and students with the tools to ensure a safe experience online and to also spot the signs of cyber bullying and how to deal with it.
This is second time John has been to our school and will not be the last.
Halloween disco and sponsored walk
October means one thing in Holmpatrick, Disco and the annual fancy dfress spooky sponsored walk.
Every year, we hold a halloween disco for the students with music, dancing, costumes, treats and fun.
Halloween is the time the students dress up and go on a spooky sponsored walk around the haunted streets of Skerries.
Parents Association Coffee Morning
At the start of each new academic year, the parents association host a welcome coffee morning so the new and existing parents can meet over a coffee and scone.
Every year Holmpatrick National School and Church hold a summer fete in Floraville gardens.
We have cakes, buns, a BBQ, live music, brick-a-brac, crafts, plants, kids games, toys, books, food and much much more.
It's a great family day out.
All Holmpatrick students created a piece of art on canvass, which was then exhibited at an evening event for the parents and children.
There was also a raffle and prizes donated by local artists and an art pack donated by Greg Reddin, along with wine and nibbles.
It was a great social evening and well attended by all.
