The latest initiative from our Green Schools Committee was a Toy Swap Shop. This worked on a ticket system. Pupils were invited to bring in used or unwanted toys and were allocated tickets corresponding to their approximate value – during which pupils traded toys in for tickets.

All pupils enjoyed participating- swapping their unwanted toys for great things they did want. In turn they were helping the environment by giving stuff a new life rather than just throwing it away-saving precious resources. The Toy Swap Shop was also recorded on our current Green Schools Action plan which is being used to achieve our next Green Flag- Global Citizenship and Energy.
